The Paper Couturière is a bespoke and couture invitation design studio located in Melbourne. We are dedicated to the modern bride who won't settle for mass-produced, straight off the assembly line invitations, that countless brides before have ordered. Bon: {French} "Good"
The "Bon" collection is comprised of invitations for the bride who doesn't have her invitations on the high end of her wedding budget, but doesn't want to sacrifice on style and quality. Many of these designs are digitally created, and those that aren't, utilize minimal amounts of labour, therefore decreasing cost. Make no mistake about it, however, these factors do not mean you are sacrificing style and quality. These invitations are fun, flirty,and unique...for a fraction of the cost.

Design Process
Step1: Consultation
Your complimentery design consultation can take place over the phone, via email, or in person. This is when we discuss the event; theme; colours, and when you give me your ideas.
Step 2: Sample Design
After being given pertinent information, such names;wording;venue, and date, etc, we will draft a sample design based on the information gained in the consultation. This step can take up to 1-3 weeks, depending on complexity of design and material availability. Once the sample has been completed, we will send it to you via Post for approval. The Paper Couturière will complete up to 3 rounds of structural and /or elemental changes free of charge, until you are satisfied with your sample. Each sample drafted after round 3, will incur a $25/hour design fee.
* Please be advixed that The Paper Couturière will offer 3 rounds of structural and/or elemental changes to the sample, thus, making 3 individual. Any further structual/elemental changes that need to be made, or for any other samples to be completed, wil incur a design fee of $25/hour.
Step 3: Sample and Design Quote
Once you have approved your sample, we will draft a Design Quote to send to you to sign and return. At this stage, a 50% deposit is required. When editing sample, it is imperative that you ensure all spelling; punctuation; capitalization; dates; names; layout, and fonts, etc, are all correct and accurate Once the client has approved the sample & signed off on the Design Quote, The Paper Couturière will not take responsibility for errors in the final design.
Step 4: Materials Assembly & Delivery
From the deposit, the materials will be sourced & the production will commence. Depending on the complexity and size of your order, and the availability of materials, this process can take anywhere from 3-8 wks. An estimated date of completion will be given once materials have been sourced. The remaining balance will be owed prior to delivery of order.
For Metro Melbourne clients, The Paper Couturière offers complimentary door-to-door delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long will my order take?
Depending on project complexity & size and availability of materials, it can take anywhere from 3-8 weeks. An estimate date of completion will be given upon purchase of materials. When ordering a custom design, allow for at least 2 weeks for the design process alone. Production time for custom work will range from 2-4 wks, depending on material availability.
2. I have to cancel my order. Will I get a refund on my deposit?
Unfortunately, refunds can not be given as all materials are purchased specifically for your order. Once materials have been purchased, The Paper Couturière is unable to return, therefore unable to offer refunds.
3. My quantities have changed. Can I order extras?
The Paper Couturière highly advises ordering extras to begin with. Once materials have been purchased for your project, it my not always be possible to order extras at that time.
4. When do you source the materials for my invitations?
The materials for each project are sourced once the deposit has been received.
5. Can I change any part of an existing design to suit my event?
Absolutely! We want to do everything we can to ensure your happiness and satisfaction with your invitations. We will work closely with you to come up with the perfect design for you.
6. Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, we do, if you live in the Melbourne Metro area. {The Paper Couturière will determin what these areas are based on studio location.} If your order is at least $200, The Paper Couturière will personally offer door-to-door delivery. This ensures that your invitations arrive to you in the most pristing condition available. If you do not live in the Melbourne Metro area, your order will be available for pick up or via Registered Australia Post.
* When shipping orders, Registered Post is the only service used.
7. Do I have to pay extra to have my invitations personalized and/or envelopes addressed?
We know how costly it can be to plan and pay for a wedding. Because of this, we proudly offer complimentary invitation personalization, guest address printing on invitation envelope, and retun address on RSVP envelopes.
Terms and Conditions
1. The initial design consultation, lasting anywhere from 1-2 hours, is complimentary & obligation free, but is vital when requesting a custom design. Once the consultation has been completed, & the client chooses The Paper Couturière to design their event stationery, a design fee of $100 is required prior to commencement of design planning. This design fee is deducted from the total cost of the order.
2. The Paper Couturière offers up to 3 rounds of structural and/or elemental changes to a sample (thus, making, 3 individual samples) , free of charge, for the client to approve of 1. Any wording or text revisions that need to be made to the samples, are complimentary. However, for any further samples, and/or for any structural/elemental changes that need to be made to the samples that are already completed, a design fee of $25.00 per hour will be charged. This fee is necessary to cover the further costs of labour/time/materials, and will be deducted from the total cost of the order.
3. Once the client has approved of a sample, a Design Quote will be sent out with the total cost owed for the project.
4. 50% deposit is required prior to the commencement of production. Materials will not be purchased until the deposit has been received. The deposit will go towards the full cost of the order.
5. Once materials have been purchased and production has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable. If for any reason client must cancel before materials have been purchased and before production has commenced, the depost, less $100, will be reimbursed to the client.
6. If materials that have been agreed upon by The Paper Couturière {PC} and the client are not available, {i.e. stock shortages, discontinued, etc.}, PC will immediately notify the client, and provide the next best option, according to the client.
7. The remaining balance, as per signed quote, is required prior to delivery. PC will notify the client at least 2 weeks before production is finalized, so client is aware of approximately when the remaining balance is required.
8. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure all information on the sample is correct and accurage when it is signed off on. PC will not take responsibility for any errors on the final products, that were on the final signed off on sample.
9. It is always recommended to order a few extra quantaties in case of last minute inclusions to the guest list. If extra invitations, or other paper goods, are not initially ordered, but then needed at the last minute, PC will endeavour to provide the invitations on a Rush basis. This will only be possible if the correct materials are able to be sourced. PC reserves the right to charge a rush order fee of 15% of Rush order, in these circumstances., based on schedule and other orders.
10. Addresses for the envelopes are to be provided in a Microsoft Word Document or Excel Spreadsheet, precisely as they are to appear on the envelopes. The Paper Couturière will not individually type the names and addresses of the guests on the envelopes. They will be copied and pasted from the Word.doc/spreadsheet. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure correct spelling, salutations, and full and correct address.
***It is the advice of The Paper Couturière to not rely on Spell Check as the sole source of proofreading, as oftentimes, it alone is not full-proof. It should always be used in conjunction with a "few sets of eyes".
